Scholarship Selection (High School Seniors)
- The Offutt Officers' Spouses' Club Charitable Association, Inc. (OOSCCA) will award multiple academic scholarships to eligible high school senior applicants.
- Recipients are chosen by a Scholarship Selection Panel using these criteria: current academic record, planned field of study / school enrollment, community service involvement, and an essay.
- The panel will be chaired by the OOSC Scholarship Chairperson. The Chairperson may not cast a vote.
- The selection panel may include, but is not limited to, community representatives, school officials, local business leaders, enlisted and officer representatives.
Award Distribution and Use
- Scholarship checks will be mailed by OOSCCA directly to the accredited institution that maintains the recipient’s student account. Checks will be sent prior to September 1, 2026.
- Recipients must apply the funds toward education expenses by June 30, 2027. Any unused funds after that date will revert to OOSCCA.
- OOSCCA will notify the responsible party when the check has been sent to the college.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be enrolled in a college program for Fall 2026. Students at community colleges and trade schools are encouraged to apply.
- When not attending school away from the area, both applicants and their sponsors must live within 40 miles of Offutt Air Force Base.
- One or more of the following sponsor/applicant affiliation criteria must be met:

- Sponsor is retired and living locally (even without current Offutt connections)

- If an applicant accepts a military academy appointment, any full scholarship, or another OSC/NCOWC or EOSC scholarship (either before or after being selected for an OOSCCA Academic Scholarship), they will be disqualified from receiving the OOSCCA award and the scholarship will be offered to the next eligible applicant. OOSCCA defines a full scholarship as one that covers tuition, room, and board.
- Dependents, wards, or spouses of current OOSCCA Selection Panel members are not eligible in the year that the panel member serves.
- Prior OOSC scholarship recipients are eligible to apply again if they are in the 18–24 category.
