Overview
For more than 25 years, the Splawn Scholarship has supported students from California and beyond. Since its founding in 1997, The Don & Roy Splawn Charitable Foundation – West proudly reports that it has awarded scholarships to OVER 1,500 California students.
Who should apply (Eligibility)
- Spring cycle: open to graduating high school seniors who are California residents.
- Fall cycle: limited to prior Splawn Scholarship recipients (renewal applicants).

How to apply (Process and requirements)
- Only the student may complete the application; no parental assistance is permitted.
- Complete the entire application and be prepared to save and upload required attachments. If you encounter problems uploading files or finishing the form, consult the FAQ for troubleshooting tips.
- After finishing the Eligibility Quiz, you will be redirected to the Foundation Source GivingHub — the third-party grant administrator’s online portal. You must create a GivingHub account to continue and submit your materials. See the GivingHub instructions for step-by-step account setup.
Deadlines and timing
- Spring applications are generally due on or about April 15 each year.
- Fall Renewal applications are generally due on or about September 30 each year.
- The specific deadline for the Spring 2026 application is Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 11:59 pm PST.
