Intro
The NGA Foundation is dedicated to promoting the independent grocery sector as a top career choice for college students and to supporting those who intend to build careers in the industry. Since 1990, NGA and its affiliates have granted more than $1 million in scholarships to help develop the next generation of grocery leaders.
Eligibility & requirements
Applicants must meet the following basic criteria:
- Be a rising college freshman through a graduate student enrolled at a U.S. college or university.
- Be enrolled at the time funds are disbursed (fall semester).
- Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Be pursuing a major in Business, Food Management, Accounting, Human Resources, IT, or another field that prepares for a career in the grocery industry.
- Experience working in the grocery sector is strongly preferred.
How to apply
1. Create a profile/account.
2. Begin the application, providing demographic details and answering 3–4 personal statement prompts. The application may be saved and edited before final submission.
3. Upload an official or unofficial transcript.
4. Upload supporting documents (letters of recommendation, certificates, awards, etc.).
5. Review your entries, save, and submit the completed application.
