Dakota Lions Sight & Health is pleased to offer scholarship support to students enrolled in post-secondary programs in South Dakota and North Dakota.
Overview of awards
- Total funding: $6,000
- Number of scholarships: six awards of $1,500 each
- Distribution: three $1,500 scholarships for students attending institutions in South Dakota and three $1,500 scholarships for students attending institutions in North Dakota
Who may apply
Applicants should be pursuing education in a discipline that aligns with the mission of Dakota Lions Sight & Health—“Helping to Enable the Restoration of the Gifts of Sight & Health.” Suitable fields include, but are not limited to, health professions, scientific research, social services, philanthropy, and work with nonprofit organizations. Candidates must be enrolled in a post-secondary institution (university, college, or technical school) located in either South Dakota or North Dakota.
Selection considerations
Final award decisions may take into account factors such as prior applications or previous awards, academic performance, demonstrated financial need, and community involvement.

Award recipients will be invited to visit Dakota Lions Sight & Health’s Sioux Falls headquarters for a facility tour, an introduction to staff, and an opportunity to learn more about the organization’s work.
