Tang Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Silicon Valley Community Foundation
Intro
In 2007 Mr. Edward C. Tang created this scholarship to support Asian and Pacific Islander (API) students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT) in pursuing post‑secondary education. The award is intended to enable LGBT youth to pursue their academic goals without shame. Each year up to four outstanding recipients may be chosen, with combined awards of up to $100,000. Awards may be paid out over as many as four years and are renewable for up to three additional years (for a total maximum of four years) provided recipients meet the annual renewal criteria.
