Opioid Epidemic Recovery Scholarship

To raise awareness about the current opioid crisis, Eisenberg and Associates is proud to offer the Opioid Epidemic Recovery Scholarship. This scholarship is meant to not only raise awareness, but to spark a conversation for change in legislation and regulation of opioids.
The Opioid Epidemic Recovery Scholarship will award $1,000 to a student who answers the following questions thoughtfully and creatively: Given the current opioid epidemic, what laws can be put into place to prevent medical professionals from over-prescribing prescription medications such as opioids? How can we effectively fight this crisis?
Eligibility & Selection Criteria:
A) This scholarship is offered to any student currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program in the United States. This includes incoming first-year college students who are high school graduates or possess a GED.
B) All eligible candidates must be in good academic standing, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
Application Requirements:
A) An updated resumé.
B) A 750-word essay responding to the following prompt: Given the current opioid epidemic, what laws can be put into place to prevent medical professionals from over-prescribing prescription medications such as opioids? How can we effectively fight this crisis?
C) A current official or unofficial transcript from the applicant's school (NOTE: First-year college students must submit an unofficial transcript from their most recent school, as well as an unofficial transcript from their current post-secondary institution.)
